あらすじ：屈折した１７歳の長男ハンク（レオナルドディカプリオ）に手を焼く リー（メリルストリープ）の許に長年交流のなかった姉ベッシー（ダイアンキートン）から電話が入る。父と叔母の面倒をみている彼女は、白血病であることが分かり、
骨髄移植を望んでいるのだった。久々の再会となる姉妹であったがどこかぎくしゃくする二人。
そんな中、反抗的だったハンクは、ベッシーの温かな人柄に触れ、次第に心を開いてゆく。
しかし、ベッシーの病状は徐々に悪化していき…。

みどころ：
ストーリーのすばらしさはさることながら、出演俳優の豪華さにも目を見張る。 ロバートデニーロはこの作品の製作もつとめているのだとか。自分を愛してくれる人がいる幸せではなく、自分が愛することができる幸せを描く作品。

Synopsis: Lee (Meryl Streep) is a 17-year-old refractor who has her hands full with her oldest son(Leonardo DiCaprio).
Bessie (Diane Keaton), with whom she has had no contact for many years, calls her. She is taking care of her father and aunt, and has found out that she has leukemia and is hoping for a bone marrow transplant.
It’s been a long time since the two sisters have seen each other, but their relationship is somewhat strained.
Hank, who had been rebellious, is touched by Bessie’s warm personality and gradually opens up to her.
However, Bessie’s condition gradually worsens…

Highlights:
Aside from the wonderful story, the cast is also remarkable. Robert De Niro also produced this film.
This is a film that depicts not the happiness of having someone who loves you, but the happiness of being able to love yourself.
